Detention and accessorials aside, I'd be curious as to how much consistency there is in what the individual brokers are paying you.

Well this particular Lane that I run in general for what I do pays pretty well but in the last week or so the rate has shot way up with all the brokers. But this particular broker that pays after 3 hours I think I've gotten the most money out of them.
Well this particular place that I go to is in my rotation I end up there quite frequently. There are sometimes I'm in and out within 2 hours there are some times that it is three hours and there have been a few times it's been more than that but in general it's within two to three hours so if I get a really good rate for it I'm not really complaining, but I'm just kind of trying to understand a little better what they do.
When I realized that they only paid detention after three hours I kind of felt like what are you people shysters? Because that's always my first instinct when someone says they pay detention after 3 hours or they tell you instead of $150 for truck ordered not use its $100 or the detention rate itself is lower I tend to really not look very favorably on Brokers like that. I just feel like they're out to basically screw the carrier but if I'm getting enough on the original rate than it is what it is.
But these guys have always paid me and I've never had any problems with any of that whatsoever.86scotty Thanks this. -
Gotcha, makes sense.

Some companies just won’t pay detention, Midsouth Milling comes to mind, sat there two times, once to unload, once to load, load time was 6 hours, unload time was 12 hours, no detention, I don’t go back.
