I work for a mega, have 6 months Otr experience. Good driving record and work history. My questions are: how many miles does a solo driver get on average? What is starting mileage pay? And what is the pet policy? Do you see Conway as a good company?

You will be making a big mistake if you go with Conway Truckload.
Read my "Conway Truckload; a very low paying job" thread.
    By all means, check out all threads; even from the three or four CWTL "Flagwavin' Geezers Gang";
Kinda reminiscent of a 'Cocoon' sequel; except that the flying saucers have blue stripes.
Better yet, go to any truckstop and speak to live drivers.
Act fast; with a nearly 100% yearly driver turnover rate at CWTL, you may be hard pressed to find anyone at all.

Yeah - good advice. Go to a truck stop and hit drivers up in person.

    Solo's avg 2200-2500 , pet is $500 non-refundable one time
I thinks its around .35 with 6 months ( not sure)

Don't mind Joe .....he's had a hard on for Conway Truckload for a while now ,since that must screwed him good!

Did I just get referred to as a flag wavin geezer

    USA
    USA
    USA!!!!!

Its gonna be funny watching the "short trucks" in the days/weeks following the post bonus purge of disgruntles

You can have my truck Blackbeard :)
My days are winding down. I'm over the otr life.
Even if it means back to lumping furniture around regional.

Be careful this thing actually has blind spots unlike the towstars and kenworthless! Sure is nice not spinning out hooking to a trl though...

    I avg around 2800

Past two months I've been lucky to get 2k with stupid bs and just plain bad luck. Rut from hell I tell ya.

I blame the new truck #
Planner doesn't know its me. Thus rarely a preplan... Whereas before. Always a preplan.
Its took a couple weeks but they are starting to appear. Even if they are crap miles like Waco and go recover this load.

Its the best its ever been to be a noob here at ctrq

No 3hour unpaid detententions followed by four hour on board times (sound familiar Joe lol?)
Pay has increased 3.5 cpm in the past two years.
Can go straight to broker and drop in Laredo.
Health insurance costs went down to $12 a week.
    (Though its useless)
Get paid trip route sent without asking.
    Layover is up to 75
    Rs has improved.

Certainly a lot better than when stotlar was running the joint. This place sucked balls when Joe was here. Still does....

But if you want to see the country this place can't be beat. So many freight yards to drop the trl and go do whatever.
If you are out to make money. Seek elsewhere

Pet policy is one cat or one dog.

    $500 deposit non refundable.
    One time only.

It goes up by every 30k miles your first year.
Depends how many miles your company claims you have run as to what your pay rate is.

Mehhhh..... You can do a lot worse.

If they would pay drivers $22 hr for time from pretrip to loaded call when picking up local.

/ pay $20 as soon as I bump the dock at a delivery

I'd say yes Conway would be fantastic.

But no. They screw you over alot when it comes to local mile dollars. Alot.

Suppose I should mention that they withold a penny from you.

    Think its per month.

If you meet their minimum mpg you get the penny back.

That's with a pet on board. Forgot to mention that in last post.

Looked at it and its .37 CPM 0-125k solo new hire

Though you would start around .32-.34 most likely. If that helps.
