Quick question and I tried looking it up

Nearly three years ago In Georgia, we had to pass all the different parts of the test to get our permits.

 

The written test? For an A CDL at a minumim you are going to have to pass the General knowledge test and the combination vehicle test. I would also add the air brake test as well.

 

In Pa you need air brake test, general knowledge and combinations vehicles. The rest of them are optional

 

If you can Ace those test booklet quizzes you should have no problems.

 

Ive renewed in Arkansas with Air brakes, General knowledge, Tanker, vision test and combination. But the original tests (Plural, adding hazmat and so on) was back in the 80's with the Class A.

The last few years they really tightened down security and added more stuff, in Arkansas you need to present a cert that you hae watched a short training video anti trafficking among other small things.

The 2020 Real ID act adds a mandatory enhancement that will put a Gold Star on your license by then with the ability to enter any Federal Base, Building or Installation INCLUDING THE ABILITY TO FLY DOMESIC. If you do not have that star and do not have compliance with that 2020 act you will find yourself a second class citizen barred from flying among other things.
