I would like to hear thoughts on R&L Carriers. I have been offered a city driver job.
Thoughts on R&L??
Now I am trying to decide between:
R&L
JB Hunt
TMC
UPS Truckload
Central Transport
RL and CT are home daily
I have a lot of options
Thanks!

Go with R&L out of what u listed, I worked there for about 9 years. Good place to work overall. Stay away from Central Trsnsport, I also worked there. CT is the worst place that I've ever worked at. BTW it helps to put your location in your profile so we are better able to help you.Texas_hwy_287, MACK E-6 and Need4Speed Thank this.

Thank you for that reply
Thanks for your reply and honesty.
I am in south central Va. -
Also there is an LTL section if u scroll down a bit. Maybe try Estes, they are headquartered in Richmond I think.

Go to estes old dominion abf or ups and fedex. Get that money and home everydayNeed4Speed Thanks this. -
R&L’s not bad. They have a terminal in Richmond like all the other companies. You can do a lot worse, like Central.
@braceface worked there once upon a time, IIRC. -
Anybody know how R&L health insurance is? Premiums and deductibles?

Years ago, I knew a guy who worked for R&L. They made you buy your own pallet jack, and load bars, which were required. It was fall, and the terminal manager wanted all the drivers to have nice R&L jackets, again, at their expenses.
FWIWDTP and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
That’s a fact above. R&L told me that, and said employees would take better care of their stuff that way.
