    Price is the biggest determining factor... Are you on IOS and what price did you pay for the ELD?

    $ 99.00 .... I really don't know what you mean by IOS ... My ELD50 is paired to OD8pro

    Let me clarify... if you have an Android device then you can use ver 1.0 or 1.1. If you have an Apple device (IOS), you need to have version 1.1. Apple will not connect to the verson 1.0.

    YOU DO NOT need to replace your device unless you have an Apple product and you are on version 1.0, it is not compatible.

    When I click on Logs, option to send logs I have to select previous 25 days of logs to be able to send them. Is there way to make it so that I can send only last 7 days of logs. thanks

    To answer this.. I know a little late.. but if you bought before the mandate in the Portal it will be in AORBD mode, you have to physically move the button to ELD. So, if you wish to stay in AORBD you can.

    Dongle (J port) to ELD unit... ELD unit BT's to App Device. App device will store the logs and when you want to send back to the Portal (Fleet) you can connect to Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is not needed to store/record daily logs.

    Now the FMCSA says you have 13 days to send your logs to Fleet, but it is suggest that you do at least once daily. Only certified logs will be send. Uncertified logs will not.

    If you log out of the App, the App will ask for a Wi-Fi Connection to update to the Portal all Certified logs.

    If the BT connection is lost to the App Device, the Dongle will record/save 48 hours hour's worth of data. Once BT is restored then the App is updated.

    If Fleet updates or corrects a log then it is send back to the Driver to re-certify again.
