Rand McNally intelliRoute TND 500

just a quick addon the only way I can tell the dock version is while it loads
once fully loaded I get the error and nothing works at that point.

Hi Jeff...

lets try this sequence.

1. bottom right (start icons), mouse over the little white snowflake (should say Rand McNally TND Dock) and left click exit on that app.

2. go to control panel and remove programs.

3. find Rand McNally Tnd Dock and remove the program.

4. In your start menu (left bottom ball) find the shortcut and delete that.

5. disconnect your TND 500.

6. reboot. Turn off your fireware for the next steps.

7. reconnect your TND 500 and let it talk to your computer for about a minute.

8. TND Dock should be on your screen.

9. Try doing the update again.

Then let me know what happens...

I can send you the TND Dock again via another method. E-Mail me rmleadbetatester at gmail..

this will put you on the same version, then you can try the update again. I cannot see the current TND Dock on the server I have access to.

If you try to do an Update for the TND Dock and it places you on ver 1.0.45, you will get an error.. You will need to uninstall that version and install the prior version.

If you have not updated your TND Dock, do not, do not update till I post that it is safe to play in the sandbox again..

I sent you an email just now about the unit issue with the satellites. After we talked last they all popped up and had excellent reception the whole way home and still show up now. Let me know if we still need to do anything about it but i was getting only two less seen than available.

Also, let me know about the other issue. I sent you where i run to and some other info.

If you installed Version 1.0.45... you will need to go to your control panel and remove programs... scroll down to Rand McNally TND Dock and uninstall.

then plug your TND 500 back into your computer. when TND Dock appears, hit the update button. Let it install a new version of TND Dock. now version 1.0.30. You may have to unplug your unit and plug it back in after the new install.
