Yeah I guess that can be problem.
Would it make sense to go unlimited just in one or the other and use an alternative in the other?

	As far as I'm aware, there are no unlimited plans available up here in the great white north. In order to sign on to an unlimited plan in the US, with a major carrier, u need a US bank account and US credit card. As you can see this is the problem so we can't take advantage of the reasonable unlimited plans available south of the border. The wife and I have a share all plan with her having the US Roaming Package which costs her $170.00 pr mo which gives her free texting,calling anywhere in Canada and US with 12 gigs of data to use. Her Company does have a phone allowance and part of her phone bill is tax deductible which helps at the end of the year in her total phone expenses but is still not as cheap as the unlimited plans available south of the border.

	What model do you have? Have you tried cleaning out the cache files to see if it will update itself again? You probably have some corrupted files.

	Its the TNDT80B.
 After the last update it only booted to the RMN logo and never went past that.
 I tried clearing cache and doing a factory restore/erase, which gave me an error about some missing partition. Either way, it does not go past the boot up logo, and I believe the update screwed up one of the partitions somehow.

	I know before Android 8 that it was possible to actually clear out the Cache Partition but don't know how to go about doing that on those units as I don't have one, I only have the TND 730's, but I did do that on my Android phones and it resolved a few problems.

	You might be happier if you went online and bought a used 730

	We have had our 730's for a couple of years now with very few problems. I'm getting pretty good at cleaning them up, with lots of good tips from Mark, but maps are getting old and no sign of RM updating them.

	Did Mark happen to enlighten you on the fix for the day/night brightness problem? Other then actually go into brightness settings every day?

	RM sent out a fix for that a long time ago and we have never had that problem ever since. I do however go into the dock program on my PC and delete the cache folder so that if there is a corrupted file in there that it won't keep recurring. I also go into the unit's folders and look for corrupted files and clean them out. Seems to keep our units running fairly smooth although we do get the odd glitch once in a while.
