Rand McNally Support Thread. (Part 3)

Is anyone’s gps reacting bad lately? I got my Rand McNally Tablet and it’s up to date. I’ve repaired all gps data 3 days ago.

Sometimes it won’t get a gps signal. Sometimes it thinks I’m driving in the opposite highway, or driving in a road parallel to the interstate. The way it acts, is as if I’m driving in NYC, with the signal going around in circles.

 

Ever since the latest update my TND740 is not showing traffic. Is anyone else having this issue?

 

if everyone pays as agreed, all should work. Is traffic subscription is yearly based or one time fee for life?

 

Very much yes. Everything is updated and diagnostic shows no errors.

 

Hey. Been a while since I've been on here. I'm having the same incorrect date issue (showing September 25, 2099 & it won't let me change it) on my TND 730. Just ran diagnostics and repair (fixed 18 files) & shows no updates available. Any word on a fix or should I just buy a new 740 (I've been using this 730 four years now). Also, I assume if I do buy new I'll be able to transfer my favorites, correct? Thanks in advance

I finally lowered mine to just almost touching my dash. It still shakes like a prostitute on judgement day but it slowed down a tad and at least now if it falls it doesnt fall far. I bought a case for me bc going across I-40 thru New Mexico, Arizona and Cali it would vibrate so bad it would fall off! Whomever designed the thing has never driven or ridden in a big truck!

 

I was able to finally get my 730 in for a screen repair, I broke the screen. RM sent me a TND-740, said the 730 wasn't repairable. Cost for the repair was $99, which covered the upgrade.

 

My tnd 730 needs power jack replaced. Got a new cord and did the reset button. I got a charge lite but the black screen of death still.
Past warranty of course. Is it worth it to send to rand for repairs?

 

Sent my device in for repair on May 4th and I have yet to get it back.

 

TND-730 time is always wrong. Have messed with the time zone, it's set for mine (central). Updated the unit, ran through diagnostic. Not sure what else to try. It's constantly 3 hours behind.
