I get a kick out of that.
They are certainly never first in line to take the farthest runs.

Another favorite of mine. I get my trailer loaded with deliveries and head on out. One or two stops before emptying out I get a text "come back after last delivery". Get back to the terminal and they have a few more deliveries to get out. Why could they not load that stuff in my half empty trailer in the morning so I could get it all off in one shot instead of coming back and going back out? Or I have to deliver to a place that they cannot send another driver to because he got into a big argument with the receiver.

Our side of the line though is only delivery no pick ups, well we grab back hauls, but that's not the same, but our deliveries can be harder sometimes, while we don't have the trouble with residential deliveries every single one of our stops is usually an inside delivery.Cardfan89 Thanks this. -
I can't do food service. Schlepping all that crap down a ramp with a hand truck doing inside deliveries where some arrogant ######## chef tells you where he wants you to put his crap. You guys earn your pay that's for sure.

@ZachG91,

Does Springfield have any of these confusing converter dollies still around:
Word on the street was they still had a few up in Brighton, MI and I bet there's a couple in Grand Rapids as well. They used to be everywhere they were the only kind of converter gear GFS would buy. I've asked many times what the purpose of that goofy converter gear was and never got an answer from anyone. I've asked at our yard, I've asked on this forum that double axle single tire converter is the most foreign odd ball thing out there and I swear GFS was the only company who ran those converters and they ran those things forever too, I bet what happened was those converters went out of production.
I don't know if those things existed just to make things more difficult or what it was.

Ha I've never seen any of those ... Seems like they'd be a pain in the butt though. I know our transit guys would be crying up a storm if we had those
Mike2633 Thanks this.
