45 minutes in traffic??? PLEASE that's NOTHING compared to NJ, NYC and CT during the day. It once took me 5 hours just to do 88 miles. I flipped on my dispatch for sending me that way, they actually paid me hourly for it, guess it was just to shut me up lol

    Rocks Thanks this.

Anyone else feeling a slowdown in their operations tempo? I am running around 3-4 nights a week now. It is frustrating as hell to say the least. I am about to start applying out east into the Bakken oil fields of ND just so I can keep the lights on

Here in central pa the seasons are winter, not summer, and car show. Construction just happens anytime other than winter. Granted, the local fire companies celebrated the fact that this was the first Corvettes at Carlisle without a major incident in five years.

It sort of goes up and down. Or at least it used to. But I've been out of it too long, what do I know. . .:biggrin_25513:

I got called off again last night. I am now working 3.5 days a week on average. My old dispatcher would make sure all of us were moving. He'd even break triples and have one guy double and the other guy single. The new guy is more about efficiency. Not sure if I can keep my lights on at our current pace. I don't think I can afford to work with my current carrier anymore. It is time for me to head east into the oil fields with everyone else that quit.

or come to my terminal, the linehaul manager has emailed all the closer terminals asking if drivers want extra work to come up on weekends.

No offence... I heard ConWay is a lot more political than any of the other LTL carriers. I do wish you had more downtime to complete your skool work.

Yeah, you are kinda out of my area. I just gave my dispatcher an ultimatum on my way back home today. He either give me more miles so I can afford to keep the lights on/feed the dog. Or I may have to unhitch my wagon and try to get my work else where.
