Ya most of us smaller guys don’t advertise a lot when needing drivers. Very rarely even a craigslist add. Usually word of mouth or somebody sends a friend or friend of a friend to talk or call etc...

Yea that's where I get the short end of the stick. I don't really have any friends that I talk to regularly, and the the very few, if that many that I consider friends, all work at coporate big outfits so they're not on the up and up when it comes to smaller outfits either. I have a couple of acquaintances as well that I'll a few beers with on the weekend every now and then, but they don't drive, or know anyone who drives trucks. I mostly stick to myself and hang around my wife and son.

Should've stopped by I was home. Lol.
Nobody's exploited. Everyone knows what the
Deal is except for the new guy.

There was a time you could bring home 2500 a week
After taxes doing frac sand. What they didn't tell you
Was you had to work 130 hours to get it.

Anything goes in frac sand when it's booming.
we done our log books once a week.
Just made up stuff because we couldn't remember
    What we done anyway. Lol

    Speed,weed, cocaine, alcohol were normal.
Whatever it took to keep going.
Nobody said a word as long as the sand kept moving.
I came from OTR to frac sand, I never seen nothing
    Like it.

Thanks but it was 3 am lol and I was rushing to make delivery.
As for money you could make the same doing OTR if you were willing to put 130 h. My best 2 weeks (before taxes) ever were $3150 for 5400 miles in 7 days and $3400 for less miles but don't remember exact number. The icing on a cake in that week was $200 for passed inspection on Sunday morning ! (IL rarely has scales open on weekends) at the first scale in IL on a way home.Oh the good old days-)
Yesterday I delivered some pumps and other stuff to couple of places in Midland and Odessa.I don't think I would like oil field work.

Buttery is a middle distributor for small to mid-size hardware stores in more rural areas
