This seems to be another example of yet another now-solo driver who had little to no training period, or had a bad trainer, or never paid attention in training, or was absent that day of orientation where they taught eLogs. SMH
eLogs are "idiot proof". The only way you can screw up is to screw yourself by forgetting to go off of Drive or On Duty, to Sleeper or Off Duty, thus burning up your time needlessly.otherhalftw Thanks this. -
It might be someone who just started teaming and is stuck on the night shift, too.
-
Perhaps thinking he needs to start a new log for the day?
Who knows?? -
You don't have to stop the truck to gain your recap hours at midnite.
Say you had 5 hours left on your 70 and started your 'day' at 1900 and will be picking up 9 hours at midnite on recaps, you are allowed to driver right through 2359 0000, 0001 you zeroed out your 70 at the stroke of midnite and picked up 9 hours at the same time off recaps.

I know #### well how to work that paper.
Im assuming he is on elogs because he is asking stuff that the computer should already know once it's got the 8th day.
Paper logs have a recap to one side and a chart under the cover. If you maintain that recap you know how many hours you can work into forever. On days you get only 3 hours to work in, you stay in the truckstop off duty and have fun, add those three little hours to a recap lol. -
It appears you think I was directing my post at you.... my response was in relation to ALL the posts in this thread....not yours. Just because the next post after yours hits won't mean the poster is attacking or accusing you of something. Read the thread before you respond next time....maybe that way, you would have seen that my initial response basically said the same thing you posted.
Chill out driver!
