    Hello, I’m a recent CDL graduate, I want to know if there are any LTL companies that will hire me fresh out of school.. I am in the St.Louis area if that helps. All answers are helpful

    The quick answer is YES. All ltl companies are desperate for drivers and willing to hire anyone. Enjoy these good times. It will change as the economy fluctuates so get in right now if you can. It definitely wasn’t like that when I started

    on my 30 min break

    my company hasnt changed its standards for drivers or mechanics. took 2 years for a suitable mechanic.

    still struggling for p/d guys so we can grow to that next level....

    Yellow is constantly hiring. And we have picked up recent grads. All you have to do is survive punching in 30 times without an accident or getting hurt, then you are a full hire and under the union.

    We are in the middle of a economic recession that will go on for at least another year or two. While the economy is contracting, the need for drivers will shrink

    I think he was trying to convey that you might as well jump on board now and have some seniority to get some kind of job security.

    If you do manage to get on with one of the nationwide outfits, be thankful. When I started they all wanted 5 years experience before they would touch you.
