Ended up with these. Not bad. Comfortable can hear voice good and people can’t even tell I have the window open going down the highway. I’m pleased with them

Did some searching before posting a new thread. I used to love blue parrot. My 450 worked great. Even after the cushion on the band fell off, I never really had issues. It finally died so I figured I would step up and get the 550. Worst purchase ever made. Calls would just randomly drop. I was blaming my carrier until a coworker on a different carrier using the same model headset experienced the same issues. It was still under warranty, and blue parrot replaced it. Replacement has same issues. Something I saw on another post was it is the firmware in the headset, not the user's phone. Additionally, on this model, there is a wire that runs from power side to the off ear side. Don't know what the purpose is, but if something happens to that wire, the headset will randomly mute the phone call.
    Would not recommend.

The Blu Parrott 250, since it sits on only one ear is comfortable for me, I wear glasses. I have my BP 250 and it's maybe 7 years old. I paid $100 for it. I just replace the foam ear and mic cover. That costs a couple of dollars.
Another option is the Shokz Open Ear type headsets. They don't sit on the ear. They don't touch the ear. They use bone conduction so you can hear everything around you while you are hearing the audio source playing through the headset. They are sold at Amazon and many truck stops. Amazon has many more models than the truck stops.

You need to be clear about HOW you plan to use the headset. Some drivers wear the headest 24/7, 365 and other drivers only put the headset on for a phone call. If you are a 24/7, 365 user your definition of comfortable will be very different than if you wear it for 3 minutes at a time for 2-5 times per day.

These links are just to show you what I am talking about.

I bought it when my Blue Parrot 450 crapped out. I’ve been very happy with it, and it’s a fraction of the cost of the Blue Parrot.
