Do you know how much experience is required? It's not on the website.

The drivers don't do any research, assume any numbers they see are a floor or a guarantee, and then those drivers think if they explain how badly broke they are then the universe will just drop money on them. I grew up around poor people and non-poor people. Poor people act very differently.

I’am amused every time you read a post from a newbie that thinks they should be driving a new truck and making top wages. or the other famous statement. I was told you can make a lot of money driving a truck that’s why I got my CDL !
It’s always good for a laugh

We deserve nothing. We get what we pick & what we work & produce. If hard work was all that was required then the people cutting down trees with a dull spoon should make a lot more money than the chainsaw users. Look before you leap. The life you save might be your own.

I was thinking they might be a good fit for our OP since they have terminals in Florida and run to the West Coast.

Oh for sure they would probably be a good fit. Was just passing along info that they can't seat experienced drivers right now. The recruiter didn't indicate why they didn't have any trucks until April, and wouldn't even discuss an orientation date. Just offered to put me on a waiting list.

Sorry, I accidentally quoted your post instead of @Chinatown 's. I was meaning that I thought Florida Beauty Express, not KLLM, might be good for our OP.

I agree with the sentiment that it’s wrong for a new rookie driver to expect stacks of bills to be handed to him on a silver platter, while eating filet mignon in his new truck during his first year of driving. That said, the original poster indicated that he’s only netting $700 a week. my personal belief especially in this current economic situation is if you ask anyone to live in a truck for weeks at a time they should be bringing home more than $100 a day. There’s just too many other things you could do out there and stay home and make $100 a day. You’re a rookie you have not proven yourself that is very true but if you’re trying to prove yourself and you know in the back of your mind, you can be in bed next year woman every night and make the same money. You could work at Mickey D’s something just don’t seem right there to me.
