Yeah, I got tired of dealing with Sabu and Babu fast. Lost count of how many times we caught them trying to steal cases of beer. Claim we shorted them and we’d find them stashed and hidden, trying to get freebies. Around here, it must be state law to be Arab to own a gas station ;)

The ones here are on 40ft trailers and Day cab which should make it a little easier with a lift gate which should make it a little easier. I will probably give it a shot really the only local job I will have had I have 3 kids now and the otr life just isn't for me not really sure if this will be either. Seems like a fairly simple job 10-20 stops a day of 10lb and 20lb bags of ice.

Never know, You might just figure it out quick, and really like the job. Having done a lot of local routes, best to get on the best side of Customers, makes your job a lot easier, and even enjoyable. Ice, S. Ga. Sounds like job security to Me.

First job driving was delivering 7-Up, a slow day was 10 stops, the normal day was 20 stops, at first it wasn't bad, $1,000 week take home. Then the new area manager was hired to turn things around. First thing he did was change the pay from hourly to flat rate, new hire to 6 mos was $99/day, for every 6 mos. exp. it went up $10. Typical route was 8 to 11 hours, that got old fast.

Anyone that's curious it seems the day is about 12-20 stops pretty much do a town a day or a couple small ones. The work itself isn't bad but the heat sucks that has been the worst of it assume I will adjust eventually, it is long days 12 hours has been the average so far.

Getting a heat stroke should not be a issue. :)
