I suggest you check with your company before implementing any suggestions into your routine.

Does anyone have that new reefer app that you can monitor your trailer temp from your smartphone? If so, how do you like it?

Why would you shut off the unit while fueling? If fueling is gonna "stir up stuff" I would think bouncing and sloshing down the road at 65 mph would "stir stuff up" just as well. I've never shut a unit off while fueling it and I've never had a single problem.

I have a air hose in truck and use the air from glad hands I put the nozzle into the fuel tank vent and give it a few psi a few pumps and it fires up just remember to release pressure by cracking fuel tank cap PS only time I ever needed to do it was on spotted trailers I keep reefer full it helps prevent frozen lines in winter due to condensation

A good habit when running on cycle is hit the defrost button whenever you stop it will log a temp recording in ECM and fire up to do its defrost which also CHARGES up your batteries I've helped a lot of guys boost their reefers after batteries got too weak from unit running too little aka Setpoint 34 on a 32 degree day btw defrosting unit will often clear many false codes it's usually the first thing most shops do when trying to solve a issue

Fellow reefer newbie. AWESOME Condo! Thanks. Exactly what the Dr. Ordered. Reading it now. Kinda like a text book of hauling refrigerated stuff from A-Z.

That's the dumbest thing I've think I've heard for a day or so. The common rail fuel system "sucks" as much fuel out of the tank at low speed as it does on high speed. It just returns less fuel on high speed.

If you are discussin fueling with reefer on--it has nothing to do with fuel flow--it has EVERYTHING to do with cavitation of hi flow fuel PUMPS--as you fuel the tank at hi speed--it not only kicks up all the crap im bottom of tank---it also has a tendency to airate--the fuel and possible cause the pump to suck air--probably why so many lease reefers and megs--have a sticker on the side--to shut off reefer when fueling......
