I am an O/O 100% running a 48 spread reefer for seven years now. I am tired of hunts point!!! Do you guys think there are enough loads in and or around fl to make a couple of short runs a month? I don't pull cheap freight but not looking to get rich. Just want to put food in the table and maintain my equipment.

FL is one of the hardest States for a outsider to get loads. Most DH to Ga for a load.

I use to go to the Tampa ports or Deland for a load of frozen juice. A few times the Jacksonville ports. A few times I DH all the way to NC. Everything is seasonal which makes it hard to find something steady.

You might try someone like Americold and do some cross dock. They have some cold warehouses down there in Plant City, Tampa and Bartow. Then you could maybe hook up with an Arcadia Walmart load coming back.

Hunt's Point is a rip off. They even sell meat online if you like paying $30 a steak.
