pulled reefers most of my life but do flatbed now ...reefers dont bother me ... modern units are much better than years past if ya take care of it it will take care of you ...never has ceased to amaze me how many people are to lazy to open the doors and at least check the oil .
tk whisper is cream of the crop tho.
those of us that are old enough to have pulled nwd thermo kings know what a noisy unit is ...mercedes and isuzu engines ..chrome grills and all steel doors .

I am one of those nose in drivers. It works so much better. Just make sure you can back it out as stated.
I have moved many many times just to get away from noises. Not just reefers.
Few weeks ago I was at the TA in Amarillo parked pointing forward. It was the row to the right of where the entrance is. There is probably 40 acres to back in to. Tons of room. So what happens? In the middle of the night a reefer on continuous pulls into the spot next to me facing forward. Guy could have easily straight backed it in. There was so much room. Must have been a newbie?
My favorite was at the TA in Troutdale. A cow rack full of #### parked next to me. I moved right away. Blind sided it into the last spot in the truck stop. ( besides the one I left. And somebody parked there right away!) All that goal was worth it though.tommymonza Thanks this. -
If your a courteous driver and you pull a reefer, that's the polite thing to do, try parking next to other reefers, if your a jerk who will pass open spot after open spot just to park next to a flatbed or non-reefer? Quit driving and go work for 7-11

well some guy yells at me one night about my reefer
then he moves..so i moved again beside him
moron didnt even notice reefer wasnt on
I never look to see who is beside me
we are all just truck drivers
the lil gurl that doesnt like the reefer probably is idling all nightSnailexpress, raged.ga, Ditch Doctor and 1 other person Thank this. -
7-11? Sure will! When they raise the minimum wage to $15 a hour I will! They will be making more then some truckers! -
If someone with a reefer as no option but park next to me, I'm OK with that, or if your reefer isn't running, I've seen driver pass open spots just to park next to me, this what I have a problem with the lack of courtesy in this industry gone abundance

I had an old guy get all pissy wih me for parking my reefer next to him, although there were plenty of open spots. Next to him was also the last spot in the shade (during summer) and I was empty, the reefer was off. He mumbled something about "lucky he didn't have his gun and that motor started up" and then left. I then happily moved over, further into the shade. It was so much like the big truck version of "get off my lawn" it was hilarious.

i have trouble with reefer drivers parking next to me too
most of the starter companies are reefers -
I should have added that I tried to tell him, several times that the reefer was off, and had no chance of coming on.
