I sleep better/more comfortable in the Truck anyway.

 

Produce gets a lot of rejects.
Walmart will reject whole pallets for no reason. Believe I brought load of zucchini from California to New Mexico and about 4 pallets were bad.

 

Was just saying *I* sleep better in the Truck then at home.
I really wouldn't worry too much about it.


Gonna be your own truck/trailer?
I've seen some guys have like a lock for the controls.

 

That locking panel would be cheap insurance.

Never had mine messed with but I check it EVERY time I'm out of the truck.

Always check your product before its loaded. Look at it...would you buy it? No? Reject it. Check the temps! Too hot? Reject it! Hot product can turn to mush in a very short time. Outer product may chill but the inner will stay hot and rot.

I hate produce loads.

 

I ran into a guy recently who got his unit fixed at TK. Somebody put sugar in his tank.
Leaving the truck in the yard and sleep at home? Depends wether it's a secured yard or not and how many "friends" you have there.
If it was me, I'd be sleeping in the truck.
It's your truck, your trailer, and your signature on the bills.

 

The 4 pallets of zucchini were rejected because of brown spot that walmart receiver saw in a couple boxes. So then they reject the whole pallet instead of checking each box.
The shipper was affiliated with walmart so they load quickly and didn't inspect the load that good. They know the receivers on the other end will catch bad product.
I took the 4 pallets to landfill and paid like $30 to dump.(two temp agency guys met me at landfill and unloaded in 20 minutes and were paid for 4 hr minimum)
But produce is a pain because you got to get it delivered quickly and you need good equipment.
