    hey guys

Im looking at getting into refrigerated freight, I have a direct shipper I can work with for good rates.

Im doing my due diligence right now and putting a proforma together.

I was wondering what the fuel burn rate is on the generator?

I always heard the slower you drive the less fuel you will use.

Roughly speaking and with a newer unit and 20 gallons of fuel you might figure a start stop frozen load might go 4 days in mild temps. A continuous chilled load might only run about 48 hours on the same 20 gallons.

But your biggest concern should be depreciation (note, rental, etc) cost and maintenance budgeting for when something goes wrong. Reefers aren't cheap, and if you find a "cheap" one, you better figure on lots of big surprise costs coming up every month.
