Refusing to go into NYC

Where in NYC do you have to go? If Manhattan the max legal length is 56' that a 48'box and a day cab. That being said why so scared of NYC? It's no different then driving in any other big city.

 

Perfectly legal to drag your trailer up and over parked cars when you make right turns

 

In fact it's encouraged by police in all those trucker stories I've heard!

Hey @Sogreen - do you realize you just resurrected a four-year-old thread that hasn't had any activity on it for nearly three years? I love it when that happens.

 

It's only legal if you're on drugs, are training your wife to drive, have a profound hearing loss, live in Arkansas, turn every answer to a thread into another "ain't I cool" story about yourself and have had thirty five different driving jobs in the last fifteen years...most of which you were fired from.

But I called roadside, and they'll send a guy. He's at the Lincoln Tunnel right now counting out the $30 it'll take his service truck to enter the tollway, in dimes.

 

I know it's an old thread, but man, the phrase "suck it up, buttercup" applies so well here.

 

I tell you what.

If you roll into NYC in the mid morning during summer tourist season and get into either far western long island before the bridge to manhattan or into midtown you will find your eyes full of beautiful people.

I bet you that any child scared of the dark in NYC from watching too many batman movies gone bad will go gaga over the possibilities there. And the food. OY the FOOOOD... whoo HOO....
