Where in NYC do you have to go? If Manhattan the max legal length is 56' that a 48'box and a day cab. That being said why so scared of NYC? It's no different then driving in any other big city.

I tell you what.
If you roll into NYC in the mid morning during summer tourist season and get into either far western long island before the bridge to manhattan or into midtown you will find your eyes full of beautiful people.
