I once had a whole load of plants rejected.

I was told to dump/dispose of them wherever I could.

I sold the whole load to an Indian store owner for $3000 cash.........

Best paying load I ever hauled, as a company driver.

Going to be up to your company or the broker.
And the amount of product will make a big difference to what happens with it.

Reading some of these posts one might think it happens all the time.
Company I'm with doesn't normally do produce so that may help.
But it's pretty rare I have rejected product on the trailer. When it does happen it's never been enough to be a problem.
    Usually it's donate/keep/trash.

Take to a food bank, shelter, or nursing home. They will give you a blank form that you fill in the dollar amount as charitable contribution, gets written off at the end of the year, so its not a complete loss. Your boss will write it off, or you will if your hauling it for yourself.

a simple answer would be to not haul loads that are a target for rejection. allow those who will room to do so

I think if it goes into a reefer, even if it's a dry load of roofing shingles, it has the possibility of some or all of the load being rejected.

Is this your only concern with doing refer?

Do you get paid to deliver the damaged produce?

When are you responsible for damaged loads?

What happens if your refer dies on you while driving?

Can you drive and sleep at any time of the day?
