Must be working for the wrong company. I get 3.00+ on most of loads I haul. Then I take off week, 2 weeks or month cause I can afford to and not be company ##### running for .37c or whatever they're paying you guys.
10hr break is more than plenty -
And as a company driver I get about $2.00 / mile. I say about as I don't play with that cpm crap. I get paid for all the work I do hourly. It just ends up being about $2.00
That doesn't include stuff like my $9 week family insurance, weeks of sick days, paid vacation and perks like I can actually plan my life as I know where I will be on a specific day 6 months from now. (Our campground need to be reserved that early, or we don't get 'our' spots)
To me even $3.00 / mile to the company is low....Sirscrapntruckalot and Coover Thank this. -
Truth is it shouldn't be up to government to decide when and how much you should work. If someone wants to throw boogers on his corn dogs from Pilot grille let them do it. Personally I'd prefer to work while on the road
One shoe fits all logic is nonsense. Everyone who accepts this logic will give in into more government regulation b.s..fargonaz Thanks this. -
Because you don't have to deal with recapping. Making you available for whatever load comes your way.
Matter of fact I've often gotten two in and still made my financial goal for the week. -
And it should not be up to you to be allowed to murder some innocent person because you are too tired to drive. There is a reason HOS came about, and it has little to do with whim.
-
I'm not tired driver, I've done 600 miles today and could've done another 300 no problem. Like I've said I get plenty of rest during 10hr break. If I'm tired then you're retardedfargonaz Thanks this.

By the way I'm pretty sure you still don't understand that the 34 reset isn't mandatory.
It's just an option for the driver to use. -
I fully understand that. I just don't agree with it. I'd prefer having 11hr driving every day and yes optional 34 reset is fine for those of you that like hanging out in nasty drivers lounges and stuff your faces with corn dogs etc
-
I don't hang out in drivers lounges or eat corn dogs.
