Report equipment problems!

Good show, driver, that's a bad spot, a bottom rail damaged. Not sure you are looking for any recognition, but shows, we still have some great drivers. For the record, in a drop and hook situation, that may have happened after it was dropped.

 

Looks like 4 newer bolts near the damage compared to the others maybe someone put a bandaide on it

Nah. Somebody’s been there before. Notice the rivets are a different color (newer) and there are washers under the rivet heads. It almost looks like someone bent that flap back, looking at the outward bow toward the front of it and the damage at the rear edge of it (beat on with a mini-sledge?). Terrible repair and obviously not DOT-compliant.

 

Who ever repaired it should have run a bead the length of the crack.

 

They should have put a plated that rail for a proper repair

 

Our trailer shop drills the bottom half of the sheeting’s rivets, pulls it away, cuts out the damaged sections (inner rail, too, if needed), welds in a new section(s), and rivets everything back together. I’m not sure I’d trust just plating that, in a such a critical area.
