Nobody has stabbed me in the back yet. There is a policy about social media but I’m not sure if this thread actually violates it. I kinda doubt it. We will see.

You know what Mike? I think u just nailed it. I once got “local pay” for taking a load somewhere else. So we have that too. Maybe I just need to ask. And maybe that’s all it will take. Thx for that idea.

There were days in my early days of trucking when the company would screw me over like this. This happens to every one of us. Best way to avoid it is to learn from it. It's good that your not taking it personal. Keep on truckin'

PS. Yeah, do what Mike says. Ask for local pay.

Diesel Dave, IluvCATS and Oldironfan Thank this.

If they do fire you,etc they're not worth working for. You can go work for another company.
I was working at System for 2.5 yrs and was getting bent over from constant loads like you just did. I was sitting in company yard 2-4 days without pay before and had to call and argue with yard manager to have them pay me something. And they do that to most drivers, thats how they become rich, they dont pay you for all miles driven, no layover pay, no detention pay. They will send you to shipper and load is not ready. Shipper takes 4-5hrs or even longer to load you and then you have to leave their yard-no overnight parking and now you dont have hours to get to rest area or truck stop.
    #### all these bottom of the barrel companies.

MACK E-6, Toomanybikes and IluvCATS Thank this.

So you would’ve driven the 1 mile and simply removed the securement and tarps? Double the work unpaid. Why? For the principle of it? Well I do like your style. :)

If they even give half a #### about you staying with them they'll reimburse you appropriately. Plenty of good companies that'll say "hey, that took a while. How much do you want for that headache?"
