Sorry it went to crap on you. I don't know enough about this load abandonment stuff to answer your question, I've always had same day loads in my jobs so it was never an issue.

I think you might have been on the right track until you asked how to resign. At that point they had no more investment in you as an employee and it was goodbye, don't let the door hit you. In my opinion employers don't give you points for how nicely you quit so in the future don't even volunteer that option. Make them fire you.

The more I think about it the less concerned I am about an abandoned load charge. At least not one that will stick. My trainer actually gave me a ride to the motel (from the company terminal) after I quit. Thankfully, CRST has agree to take me back to fulfill my contract. I gave them 2 weeks notice and set up payment plan to go with Prime but obviously that turned out to be a mistake. Say what you will about CRST, but that company has been very good to me, to a person. Everyone there has always been quite professional and friendly. I will not take them for granted again. Going to finish out my contract and be grateful for it.

I am in training now, a total of 15,000 miles, we can team if I’m ok with it, but that is not the norm.
All these problems you’ve had was the first conversation with my trainer.
I asked for his list, and gave him mine. We agreed and we get along great.
I also made it clear that when I fuel, I use my rewards card. I’m platinum now as I do most of the driving.

I am not young, but am a vet. I’ve done played the yelling game, and won’t tolerate it from anyone since I left the Army.

@ruudhompsor I would not be overly concerned with abandonment. Just put it behind you, move on.

Good for you, for standing up for yourself.
Don't loose a bit of sleep of that bs load abandonment.
In not a lawyer and I didn't even sleep in a Holiday Inn last night , but the most they can tag you for is quiting under dispatch. That load abandonment bs is a straight up scare tactic.
You didn't leave a load at a customer or rest area or park it behind a business somewhere. Not only that there was another driver attached to that load to take it wherever, it wasn't abandoned.
Keep an eye on your dac just in case they're stupid enough to put it on there , if it shows up contact a lawyer because when the time come to leave the big Golden Shower( crst) you don't want that on your record , obviously lol.
Again congratulations on standing up for yourself.
