my dbl told me that since I'm regional and only work 5 days a week we need to do a return to work assignment and the planners have to release you to go home.
What does this usually consist of?

You will be assigned your "load to the house ", ie a load getting you close to your park location.
You need to set your nat as if you will be available after delivering that load. You DO NOT push out until after home time.
The APM will put a SAW (service after work) assignment routing you to your park location. Most often this will be a new work assignment, but occasionally will be an added stop to the last load. Once you have this move, set your nat gor when you will return to work.
You will drop your mt, and do the arrival and drop mt (or relay, or whatever) task but DO NOT complete the rtw task. Make sure your nat is set correctly and go home, chase the girl (or boy) around the house. You are expected to complete the rtw within 1 hour before and 30 minutes after your nat.
If the load out of the house requires a different start time (you were available at 0800 but the load doesn't pick up until 1100), message your dbl and they will fix it. Or just take the tablet home and complete the rtw task within the window, regardless of when you actually get back yo the truck -
Also, tell your dbl he is a doody head for not explaining that clearly.
Feel free to tag me or pm with other questions. Or post in the schneider chat room, as those pop up in my feed. I'm pretty lazy about checking the schneider forum these days. -
