My husband transferred his lease to a former student of his. Otherwise, you would be right, they would ding your credit and hound you. They even stated in a legal court document that they could have come after my husband, not for the remaining lease payments, but the remaining balance of the truck, had he not found someone to transfer the lease to and regardless they took possession of the truck upon termination. I would have liked to see how that played out if he hadn't found someone to take over the lease. It probably would have got ugly fast. And I'm not sure who would have got uglier, Swift or me? LOL
Riddle me this...

True story.NWMAXI Thanks this. -
I do not know anyone that agrees with the macro 23 being taken away.
Glad you enjoyed venting. I have something I like to tell people... If you bring me a problem without a solution, then you are just complaining. If you have a solution, tell me. -
So please, tell me about the "laziness". Do you mean the people who come in and work 10, 11 hours a day without a lunch break? Or the ones that come in 2 hours early because they know they have a busy day?
Double check those numbers... You say "usually wrong". Well, in my time, I have called hundreds of numbers. Maybe one was. When the number was wrong, what did you do?biker dave, Injun, scottied67 and 2 others Thank this. -
Mac 23's have lead me out to lonely farmland areas with boundless acres of nothingness, down skinny little residential one lane streets where my trailer is dragging over finely manicured lawns, and the wrong way down one way streets in big metropolitan cities trapped between two 9 foot bridges. -
Or do you figure it is too big an inconvenience for you to "mess with." I don't mean to sound as rude as I do here, but this sort of pisses me off. Are you a part of a TEAM? Or are you one of those folks who is stuck in their "ivory tower," saying, "that's not MY job?"TruckrsWife, otherhalftw, JustSonny and 1 other person Thank this. -
it was january of 2010... freight was already slowLes2 Thanks this. -
The thing is I have no idea how to contact the people to let them know the phone numbers are junk, etc.
If this company ever asked the drivers what was oing on they would be making the kind of money they could only dream of. Maybe share the pie with the whole crew?
Ah Utopia! What a nice place!otherhalftw and JustSonny Thank this. -
A very high percentage of the original "directions"..back then it was Mac22..were wrong and the drivers were instructed to send in the Mac23 to get the directions corrected. Two problems were discovered;
1. The driver would forget to write down the directions going in to the customer, and would send in the directions leaving the customer! So everything was reversed and/or backwards...which isn't much help!
2. So many drivers were following "procedure" and sending in the correct directions that the group assigned to initiate the corrections got buried and were so far behind they abandoned the project and "let it ride" as is. Orientation and Mentors were supposed to pass this information about the problems along to the new students and Drivers...need I say more?
Why is it when for 8+ years the "original directions" are still in place on the (4 times upgraded system) same concept system?
How can directions being called in, AND sent in (via Q-comm) for 8+ years the things still remain the same? Did the people who are supposed to "update" the customers portfolio....i.e. CSR's...forget to hit the "SAVE" button or whatever "F" key so the screen will project the correct information?
Swift was...and could be again...a great company to work for and to learn from. But as the old saying goes....SOME THINGS PROBABLY WILL NEVER CHANGE!JustSonny Thanks this.
