sounds like you may have a resistor bad on yourtruck or possibly a bad signal stat depending . our 1998 mack dump truck was doing similar .
-
That could be his fast blinking blinker bobtail, but his trailer is on a different circuit.
Now if the turn signall lights up and just doesn't blink, I have seen flashers go bad and do on eside and not the other, BUT if he was making it work before by binding up the pigtail, it is a no brainer to look in that area. -
What was your solution?

I start at the failing light's plug. Turn park and turn on and check for both signals in the plug.
If one signal is missing I check the tractor plug. If that's good I check the junction box under the trailer.
If that's good the problem is somewhere in the middle. If its in a carrier pipe its easier just to run a new wire front to back. -
Having the same exact problem now that I just got issued another truck last week. I'd imagine it's the pigtail/electrical wire problem but it costs #### 100 dollars for a replacement ..plus tax

Hello. How did you fix the issue with trailer turn signal?
I have 2019 KW T680 almost the same issue, trailer turn signal is not working at all, fuses are good, new pigtail. No power on female adapter -
When you say pigtail do you mean the light cord between tractor and trailer? When you say no power on female adaptor do you mean the receptacle on the back of the tractor that the light cord plugs into?
May be the Chassis Node but not something to throw a part at as the node is close to 2k. In 2019 Paccar changed the node. You may have the 3 plug node which is mounted inside the frame rail next to (across from) the left side fuel tank. The 5 plug node is outside the frame rail under the driver side door. On the 3 node B16 and C20 are the trailer turn signal outputs.
I would remove the receptacle on the back of the tractor and closely check the wiring and connections there.Attached Files:
IH Truck Guy Thanks this. -

thanks to enjineers everything may run through the body controller these days. then you need a scanner just to do tail lights.
