I guess I can't do nothing more than roll my eyes at this point. I'm not going to argue politics with the unknowing. And catahoula "thanked" him. Why?

maybe because he agree's with him.

europes financial situation is worse, clearly..their socialist policies are even more radical and anti business, theyre trending more conservative though.

we are "bankrupt" ourselves though, borrowing around 1.5 trillion a year is unsustainable, and doing anything but cutting back only hurts us.

1 job, and the carrier I drive for is in the OP's list.

In the last 10 years I had three jobs, which I got laid off from 2 and left 1 under good terms.

Honestly, this hostility towards the mega carriers is getting old. Not all of us have the luxury of buying a truck straight out of CDL school, and in most cases mega carriers are the only game in town for students. I just happened to stick it out with mine for a longer period of time than most and things do get better the longer you stay.

And don't believe the hype about mega carriers placing BS on your DAC. The one I drive for hasn't placed anything abnormal on my DAC.

It depends on how you quit the company. For example, if you were a IC, you're obligated to fulfill the needs of your lease agreement. Read the contract. Terminating a lease early will not only go on your DAC, but your credit report as well.

As a company driver, if you give the company adequate notice and return the truck in proper condition to a terminal, they can't nark on you for that. When I left Werner, I gave them a months notice. Before I returned the truck, I had it PM'ed and fully detailed/washed inside and out. I returned the truck to the terminal in Omaha, and got a written statement from a mechanic on the trucks condition. Werner left nothing bad on my DAC. In fact, they'd probably take me back in a heart-beat if I re-applied.

Abandoning the truck and/or leaving it in bad condition will hit your DAC, and also your wallet in some cases. If you're a company driver, there's no reason why you would neglect maintenance, other than laziness. This is where the mega carriers will hit you.

One of the things "starter" companies do is update or change the lies they tell us. The reason one driver left a large, uncaring company may be different than the driver who just left there. The new lies are the reasons people still check them out.

I went to work for Heartland Express because they said they don't go to the west coast or Canada. They gave up on Canada because they screwed up in Canada!! You shouldn't be surprised. They do go to the west coast, but it is a handful of "company (loving) drivers" who will do whatever they want. Got it?

Over a span of 35 year thus far, I have worked for 15 companies. 3 of them went out of business, several of them lost business and killed our paychecks (lack of work). So I moved on. It's the nature of this business.

If you get lucky and find a good company, God Bless You!!! Most of us aren't that lucky.
