Sounds great in the winter. Especially if your a fan of chaining up.

Make a dry run in your car over labor day weekend (which you will have off) and see for yourself.

We used to do it often in doubles.

It’s slow going at times, weekends in CA up 15 can be a chore.

70 across the Rockies I’m sure you’re aware of.

Times in winter would require 15-40-25.

We had no jakes in the truck then, it was a challenge at times.

Edit - in my opinion, I’d be inclined to stay where you are, unless they’re paying hourly/chain up/detention etc.

The normal route would be I15 to I70. However, depending on weather you could go I15 to I40 in Barstow until you get to the I25 at Albuquerque and head North into Denver. Definitely more miles, not sure how many. But, if the passes on I70 are closed due to snow, as happens in the winter, the alternative route can get you there. I25 going into Denver can get yucky in the wintertime also. But, usually I70 over the Rockies gets worse than the I25.
Just check road conditions and weather and keep updated as often as you can. I70 is kind of a pain to drive due to road conditions, but doable and usually a really pretty route to drive.

What are you asking, about weather? If so do you not already chain up going to Washington and Oregon? A lot of the same as on your current route, beautiful scenery. Colorado very rarely closes 70 due to snow.

Talked to a guy who was working for a company I was thinking of applying to. They had a DC around Sacremento and he delivered to Washington and Oregon. He rarely chained. As in once or twice a year. I think he said it was usually around Shasta.
Otherwise, west of the mountains doesn't need it.

I70 west of Denver is one of the steepest mountain ranges on the interstates
