Smith system used and endorsed by Penske, J.B.Hunt, FedEx, Knight, PG&E, FritoLay, Prime, Verizon, Dupont, US Gov, and the list goes on. EXX1100's Sociopath system endorsed by no one.......Although used by many......

so you are telling me that sitting in the middle lane, when everywhere in this country the law is slower traffic keep right, or keep right except to pass, all of these signs are wrong, these laws are wrong, the smith system is better?

and after working years in corporate america, the fact you can list off the very same companies that have drivers that tend to sit in the middle lane does nothing in my book to justify your case

corporate america goes by less risk, period, it is less risky for their drivers to sit in the middle lane (as espoused by the smith system) legal or not, they dont care, if it reduces their insurance costs, they do not care how much their drivers impede the flow of traffic or cause everyone behind them to jockey around and get by

and whats with the name-calling? is that also taught by the smith system?

Man, just give up. This guy will just have to learn the hard way, or kill, maim, injure, hit, run through someone that is not following "his" rules of the road.

LOL just read up on the Smith system after 10 years of driving. It is mainly leave an out, look ahead, keep your eyes moving, blah blah blah......Most drivers do that anyways

The problem with your irrationallity is, it is not a law. Here is an example of the law in MO.

All trucks registered for a gross weight of more than forty-eight thousand
pounds shall not be driven in the far left-hand lane upon all interstate
highways, freeways, or expressways within urbanized areas of the state having
three or more lanes of traffic proceeding in the same direction.

You are totally confused between two lane highway in one direction verses three or more lanes in one direction.
Yes the Smith System is better than your Sociopathic system of Terrorism.... And since you are so bent on obeying the law. Speeding is illegal, driving in the lane of least resistance is not. If you wish to travel at excessive speed above the regulatory posted limit then you are violating the law. You are trying to rationalize why you drive recklessly. Remember this, I repeat this over and over to student drivers, No matter how many trucks or cars you pass in congested crazy Chicago, there will allways, and I mean allways, be someone ahead of you and in your way......... Now figure that one out...

You follow the "get out of my way" supertrucker rules. You drive fast, so everyone must move out of your way so you can drive "your" way. Very inconsiderate, self centered way of looking at things. From post #1 your focus is on how other drivers inconvenience you and your speed. No thought or consideration for the other drivers on the road. It shows in the words that you post and the attitude behind the words. Remember, however, that many many new drivers in training come here for information. This is why most of us are vehemently opposing your opinion, in hopes that those new drivers might not follow you down that "supertrucker rules of the road" mentality. You asked the question, I am just posting my take on things. Everyone else will either post their opinion, like this post in agreement, or just move on.

no silent, that is solely YOUR interpretation of what i said

my entire point is how anyone driving in the center lane unless they are passing someone is violating a general law of slower traffic keep right and keep right except for passing

whether there is anyone behind you is secondary

now, if someone is behind you and you think its your God-given right to stay in that lane, now you have moved into being inconsiderate as well as illegal

so please explain how i am a "sociopath"
