I'm still in a position where I'm financially safe, I'll just stick around at home and maintain my businesses until Sept when I become eligible again after 2 tickets fall off. I'm committed to proving to myself I can complete a L/P despite the common belief that all of these programs are out to screw anyone that signs up for them.

I looked at the rate sheet you kindly posted.

I can’t see how this woud be much better than marginally profitable.

You seem fairly intelligent - maybe I’m missing something here.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

Instead of doing a lease purchase, if u have enough money to finance a truck why not lease on with landstar or mercer or something like that, that would b a much better idea than leasing a truck thru the same company that your running for

Just a semi ignorant observation: if cost after all fees is .85 per mile and there is tons of freight on boards paying $1.75-2.50 a mile ...wouldn’t you be earning a nice living? Assuming you could book your own loads etc. or do you need to pay 30% or so of that rate back to the lease holder and run the loads they tell you?

Thanks for posting the rate sheet. I don’t mean to be snide but those were good rates in 1980.
