This was some time in the late 80's, at a truckstop along I-80 in Wyoming. I was driving for JB Hunt, and was on one of my occasional trips towards the west coast. Often, JB drivers would join other JB drivers at dinner tables in more crowded truckstop restaurants.

So, I come into the restaurant after showering, and saw 2 JB drivers who I knew at a large round table, and wen to join them. The first guy was out of our Dallas terminal, and the second was from the KCMO terminal, but lived in Montana. I was usually an eastern driver, running out of our Syracuse terminal. So I joined them for dinner (separate checks).

After a few minutes, a trainer I knew out of the Chicago terminal came in with a trainee, a young African American man who looked like he hadn't been more than 20 miles outside of the south side of Chicago in his life, yet here he was in the 'remote west'.

As this kid was looking trough the menu, he asked "What are Rocky Mountain Oysters"? Stifling a laugh, I informed him that they were a rare delicacy, harvested in high mountain streams. The 2 guys other single drivers looked like they were about to break out laughing, and the guy's trainer gave me a death-glare.

Finally, the Texan let the cat out of the bag, stating "Them's sheep cojones, son.." Then we all broke out laughing.

Me neither, we eat calf fries around here. I've got friends who work for the local ranchers. Getting a few gallons every year ain't hard to do.

We cook them every Easter during our annual family fish fry.

Bruce’s Bar and Restaurant in Severance, Colorado (just east of Fort Collins) specializes in Rocky Mountain oysters. I gotta say, they were pretty tasty!

This guy is visiting Spain and goes to upscale resturant near the Arena. He asks the waiter to bring the best the resturant has to offer. The waiter bring him a plate and says these are the cajones from the bullfight. The Bull is very brave and fight to the death, mucho valor senor mucho valor
The next day he returns and says, i want to have Cajones like i ate yesterday that was delicious. The waiter bring him a plate and the guy looks at it, and say These are much smaller than yesterday. And the waiter says Si, Senor sometimes the bull does not lose the fight.....
