run dedicated or not

I had a friend that had 2 truck leased to Fed Ex ground out of Kansas,, rate was $1.75/mile ..problem he had was FedEx does their dispatch between 9PM and Midnight,,Until you are there a couple years or so you never know exactly where you are going and exactly when the load will be ready as well as having to build your doubles and break them down and rebuild them at the turn around,,He could not keep drivers and he found that FedEx ground contractors have a driver turn over problem,, That $2,05/mile might have been when fuel was higher too..

Turn in the truck go make money somewhere else is what I'd do.

Certainly a better deal than what you have now but what's Primes policy on it. They probably have some kind of hidden thing in between lines on that contract. At any rate I would look at getting out of that deal. Your pretty much moving there freight for free.
