Another day over and just got back to the hotel. Got invited by Ryder and Good Year to little get to getters and a BBQ after the show by Smart Truck with music. I attended the Partners in business seminar and met the CEO of ATBS and had a great conversation with him as well. The absolute highlight of the show so far was running into Mark Springer the fellow Washingtonian TV star of Shipping Wars.He had his U-Ship entourage with him. Took a bunch of pictures of the show trucks for you guys, but Verizon has 3G coverage at the Hyatt and I wont even attempt to upload a picture. I will have to speed up tomorrow to finish the rest of the show and attempt another free seminar as well. Good times for sure.

Last day at the show is over and back home tomorrow. Time flew by and it was a great experience. Met some more great people and plenty of great conversations again. Attended a seminar hosted by The Bell Group which is an accounting firm from Arkansas. Lots of recruiters offering jobs as well. Had a nice visit with Mark Redig from Landline Radio and the guys from NASTC. I was really hoping to find a good seat, but only one company showed up to the show. The women in trucking booth luckily had a seat comparison set up with 6 different seats to try out. I wanted to see the Bose ride system, but they were not here. I bought another headset and hope that the Blue Tiger one will work. I think this is number 5 in the last 2 years.
We went to the Pecan Lodge for a BBQ dinner tonight in the Deep Ellum district and got to enjoy some live music from Gus Samuelson and the Swampadelics. Great blues and I will try to post a video clip at a later point when I have a better internet connection.joseph1135 and Puppage Thank this. -
I have tried to make an album with all the pictures from the truck show, but for some reason my pictures wont upload. I am not sure if pictures taken with an Iphone need any special help.
On the other hand I have just finished another trip North with 8 stops last night. I have my girl friend along on this trip and it has been a great trip so far. Doing my reset in Anchorage and got to meet some friends of my girl friend that had us over for dinner tonight. I passed a Level 1 in Tok,AK with flying colors as well. We saw lots of animals so far, but had a very sad start to the trip. The first bear we saw was a black bear cub that had just been hit by a car and had been killed. The mama bear was there as well and she kept licking and nudging her cub. That had to been one of the saddest things I have seen in a while. I guess I put that in the same place in my head than the sad eyes of the buffalo yearling cow that had been hit by the motorcycle a couple weeks back.
I made two more movies as well on the trip. The first one was a buffalo running across Liard River bridge and the second one is a moose cow with her calf.

I just got a new video clip from Larry Winget. This was a great question for him and I sure wish he would run for office.

I figured I give a quick update of what I have been up to. I did three runs to Alaska over the last month and that kept me busier than I wanted to be. I did turn in my truck last Saturday and I am off to something new. I added a picture from the rest area just South of Haines Junction in the Yukon. It was a beautiful morning, but winter has arrived and I saw quite a bit of snow and ice covered roads on my return trip.
The truck was an absolute mess after running through the road construction by Beavercreek, YT where they had just finished spreading calcium on the freshly graded road. They use it to harden the road, but it is terrible on the equipment. I spent $230,00 at the truck wash to have the truck and trailer washed. For some reason most of my pictures wont upload and I am not sure what the problem is. I took some amazing pictures at Muncho Lake that I would have liked to share. The lake was like glass and reflected the fall foliage colors, mountains and sky and even being in a hurry I had to stop and take a couple of pictures.
