I guess I missed you Nate. I lost an airbag on the trailer Monday night. I had to limp it all the way to P.G. to find a replacement. At least James Western Star came through and I left there a little after seven at night.
This had to been one of the coldest trips I made North so far. Seems like I spent 2000mls in negative temperatures going North. I think Haines Junction was the coldest at -39 Fahrenheit on Thursday morning. I had some issues with the leveling valve on the trailer and a couple fittings that started leaking. It was fun to change one in minus 25 in Beaver Creek, YT.
I ended up hitting another Caribou on the way home that made it three in two weeks. Luckily no real damage to the truck. The Caribou might have a bit of a sore behind after being clipped at about 100km'h. I should send the Queen a bill for truck wash and repairs needed.
Fixed a couple more airline fittings on the trailer today and will have to tackle the ABS tomorrow since the light is on. I hope it is just a wheel sensor gap issue. I have been packing lots of snow and ice underneath. Saturday will be tire day when my helper comes over and we can throw eight new tires on the trailer.

I passed you somewhere south of pg but I was on the phone with my work. Is your first name Swen?
vikingswen Thanks this. -
Yes on the first name. You made good time than. I had stopped in Williams Lake and called on a couple of shops, but no luck with the air bag. James Western Star found one at a place in PG and had it dropped at their shop in PG.
nate980 Thanks this. -

Hope everybody had a good New Years. I spent mine in my home away from home in Alaska. Paperwork has taken over my life once again. I did move my office from a separate structure on the property to an upstairs bedroom yesterday. So far I did my Washington State tax, IFTA 4th quarter, Oregon mileage reporting, Yukon fuel tax, end of December paperwork, paperwork and billing from last trip, per diem for 2016, personal mileage for 2016 and did my P&L for 2016.
Who ever thought being a driver could cause that much paperwork and headaches.Ruthless, Snailexpress, redoctober83 and 8 others Thank this. -
Sounds like fun to me
vikingswen Thanks this. -
