    They have a 24 hour window. If inside that window no deten pay. Outside of that yes.

    At customers with no pickup window, then you can put in for detention after 4 hours.

    I think they need to cut that time in half because 3 hours for one pallet is inexcusable.

    Of course DDT is 1900 load is ready at 2045 and it is not cali legal weight so its now 2200 and I'm back to get a rework.

    60 lbs over on the trailer in California hole. What's the chances that they screw with you over that Vs one more hole back

    OMG I tell them to move 3k pounds toward and of course they move 1k pounds. So I'm back to get reworked again. No way ill be on time smh

    mine was 34,740 on the trailer tandems, pin was two holes forward of California 40 foot mark. moved three holes back, or you could say one hole to the illegal side of California. Didn't reweigh it, just rolled with it. Once I got across the border to the 'world' I moved two more holes back and every scale I crossed, I got prepassed no problems.

    if you were two holes forward of cali then at cali hole you would have been 33740 so legal. Each hole is about 500 or 600 pounds depending on trailer.
