Running with JCT, Part Deux

Been here at c&s in stockton 3 hrs appt at 7 got here at 6... they havnt even entered the trailer yet. starting to give walmart a run for their money on unproductivity.

 

For one load they asked me to swap, i replied on the QC "I require $100 bucks to swap." They paid it no questions.

 

Point is that if we are asked to rescue a load, we should get the swap pay automatically just like the teams. We shouldn't have to ask for it.

I was and about to be again. Got the ok to run back south from Ellensberg to 84 to Portland and run the 5 back up to Tacoma. Weather over Snoqualmie was not playing nice. Chain law in affect all weekend long and I don't chain.

 

Macho, don't do it, 84 in to Portland has been closed 2 days they told me at Stanfield

 

Twice last week I saw jct trucks pulling unmarked reefers. These trailers were solid white with stainless doors and appeared new. Once in Dallas and again near Heavener, Ok. Anyone else seen this, is it how new trailers are ordered now?

 

Rentals, saw one yesterday.

 

Guess I'm stopping in Yakima
