LMAO. Yeah, i was definitely the laziest driver there. JCT allowed me to pay my bills and put away extra money for stuff. I was completely debt free from before i started with JCT throughout the 8 years i was there. I went to Europe for 1 month, took 4 different week long cruises and ungodly amounts of time off. Never went into debt. You can make good money at JCT. They have great people and treat you very fairly. Now, can you make more elsewhere? Yes. Can you make less elsewhere? Absolutely. It's all about running your business YOUR way. You have to be realistic about your needs. As far as being home on time.....i missed my target date 2x in years, one of those, i did a favor, and both missed dates were by 1 day late. Granted, a lot of the success or failure with JCT, or any company, is partial luck. If you have a problem truck, you're gonna have issues. If you take care of your truck, it'll take care of you. Unfortunately, you won't know what you have until you get it. JCT does take care of their equipment. The problem is drivers don't usual take care of their business, hence many fail. I personally would never do used (except 1st truck). I always did new and virtually eliminated unwanted time off due to an issue(s). With the variable lease, time off is not as detrimental of a hit.
You can tell who was paying attention, and who was probably distracted very easily in this.... VIDEO: Almost every single trucker manages to avoid light pole on interstate; over a dozen cars crash | CDLLife
If you ever deliver to Richmond Wholesale Meats in Richmond, CA......don't show up til right at your appt time. No parking on street. Residents behind the receiver will call cops. Gates will not open til 0700. Do not cuss out the guard. You will get kicked out/rejected. The truck that was ahead of me got his whole load rejected because he cussed out the guard for not letting him through the gate at 0655.
Also you got to love people whose entire life mission in this world is to make people's lives miserable who are just trying to do their jobs...
Yep. The guard and clerk are friendly folks, but won't allow someone to walk over them. They have rules to follow just like everyone else. In this case, the city (thanks to the condo living tards) made a rule not allowing deliveries here before 7am. The attitude you get is usually based on your attitude.
