The one thing I find problematic is logs Department not being able to edit logs. I mean how many times have you had to call logs to have them edit off time when the truck got test-driven for a repair? I was told by the logs Department that logging out of the Qualcomm during shop work was not the right thing to do... That it actually made it harder to fix the problem. I'm guessing a new procedure will be put in place...
So I guess I might have to start adding check the auto air system to my pre-trip list.. this is the third trailer I've gotten that's had the auto air system valve turned off. I've got no clue why people are turning it off. If there's a problem with a tire the light comes on fix the problem don't turn the system off that's warning you that there's a problem...
You know... I asked the shop about the inverters, and they said "Yeah they get installed free." Any strings attached? "Well they enable the engine interlock setting on the apu" Why? "Because people have been driving with them on, racking up the hours and usage" Ok...so I asked...Could you NOT install that on mine if I get one because I dont like extra things that can go wrong...Plus since May 2016 I've got 2611 hours on mine so I know how to turn it off.... I didn't even get an inverter installed, I just had the APU serviced for its PM. I go to turn it on, with just the ACCESSORY turned on on the ignition, you know, so I can have the HVAC fan on, or my radio since I USE IT AS MY ALARM CLOCK, and connect to it via Bluetooth on the Overdryve 7 and my laptop to have my audio come out the truck speakers and not the laptop... And the APU says no. "MAIN ENGINE INTERLOCK" THE ENGINE IS NOT EVEN ON! ITS NOT EVEN IN RUN! ITS IN ACCESSORY! THE KEY TURNED THE OTHER #### WAY! Thanks Shop...thanks for making my truck just a little less ####ING bearable to live in. I will be figuring out how to disable that system immediately, and sharing the information here. And if the shop doesent like it, oh well. They can start paying the 1000 a week in payments I do with the miles I run.
So instead of punishing the idiots who are doing this, the screw everyone...co's wonder why they cant keep anyone...smh
It should... That's the whole idea of it. Not to need to use the apu. Inverter should just run off the battery pack. I really believe that. So it's probably 100% wrong. lol
