Actually the drivers at any truck company pay all the bills. Believe it or not the JCT lease op is paying for the trailers and maintenance, the maintenance shop and the mechanics, the dm's the lights, the phones, IFTA that big TV, those showers, the whole works is paid by the drivers. If you had your own authority, you'd command $2-$5 or more per mile just like any other truck company. If you hired drivers you'd pay them the lesser of $0.50 a mile and use the rest to pay the bills.

Got to Bar S in Clinton, Ok this morning at 8am to pickup a load. The product wasn’t ready yet. Ok. No biggie. Fast forward 6 hours and a shift change. The guard comes out and tells me that they preloaded an empty and to drop my empty. Took me a second to wrap my around that because I had been asleep for about 4 hours.

She was surprised that I wasn’t mad because apparently they do this a lot to drivers and the drivers get mad. I said why get mad. What’s done is done and getting mad ain’t going to change that.

Here at US Cold in Dallas; just saw a driver get denied loading because the dummy didn’t get a washout and still blood in the trailer.

Really, how you not know that is blood in the trailer from your previous load?
