I get someone else's advances about twice a month... Hasn't happened in a while though so either the driver manager got better about it or the truck got switched to a new owner and has a letter
So, had to stop in the TA in Sayre, Ok because the TA in Denton mounted one of my drive tires backwards. The directional arrow was pointing to the back of thr truck. They fixed it with no issue, but found out something interesting. Last week, Frieghtliner issued a recall on Cascadias from the 2014 model and newer on the brake pressure switch. Basically the switch that tells the cruise control to disengage when you hit the brakes. Takes about 5min to change and and no cost. Never heard a word from JCT about it and only found out because this TA shop told me. And not all TA shops are Freightliner approved warrenty sites. So, something that y'all might want to look into.
You sure it was last week the only recall issued about brakes was 2017 and it was for the brake pressure sensor for the lights. Probably same sensor. 2014 FREIGHTLINER CASCADIA I'd be more worried about May 11th and October 6th on this one 2017 FREIGHTLINER CASCADIA
Yep. I saw the email. It was dated 6/4/18. Unless it was just a reminder email for the shops to get it done. But even the GM of the shop said it was a fairly new recall.
I was at the yard last week, they changed out the S Cams brackets not sure if they did the brake pressure switch thing or not. I asked for an APU service and coolant leak check and advise. APU appears not have been serviced and the coolant leak appears to still be happening.
So, I showed to the gate for HEB San Antonio 7 hrs early: Gaurd: Your early. Me: Yep. This way I can checked in, then you send me down to the staging area, and then I'll be one of the first trucks called when receiving starts this evening. Gaurd: You've been here before? Me: Just a few times. Gaurd fills out gate pass and takes phone number. Gaurd: All right, you're checked in; go ahead to the staging area and have a good day. Me: You too.
Yet when I show up to Costco 23 and a half hours early thinking that I'm a half hour late I just get laughed at.....
I wasn't sure just how early I could check-in and stage, I know for sure a couple of hours before appt, but i figured I'd try anyway as it beats parking on the streets here plastered with no parking/tow away zone signs even though trucks park on the street here all the time. I'd rather be parked safe with the DCs property and be at risk for a tow or ticket.
To the driver who dropped the trailer at the Olathe Tyson with a bad battery next time you want to cover Your Tracks to make it look like you didn't know put the battery caps back on after you jump it you piece of ####. Leaking battery only showing 10.4 volts at the reefer unit. Runs on continuous thank God this load is tempt up enough to run a continuous and not a start-stop. And good thing I had jumper cables when I found out that the unit wouldn't restart when dropped to start stop. Don't worry I'll go ahead and babysit it at a ####ing shop for you. I hope your legs grow together.
