Expect to find a bunch of good people at JCT. The motel is decent with several restaurant options next door. JCT will feed you a good lunch everyday and motel provides a breakfast that will get you to lunch. Dinner is on your dime.
Three to four days as I recall, went thru a little over three years ago. Drug screen and DOT physical at terminal.
You will see a number of drivers come thru the terminal and can ask them anything as they can give good info. Most drivers here, including myself, are willing to show you actual statements. In person of course, no one is putting that info on social media! But seriously, current drivers are your best resource for good info.
Myself, along with co driver/ wife, have done exceedingly well here. There are plenty of stories like ours along with solos who have done well and succeeded on to become successful owner operators.
I wish you good fortune on your journey here and only ask one thing of you, please don't drop a trailer you wouldn't want to pull yourself.Jarhed1964, CannonballAA and mdmgolfin Thank this. -
If you're using Wells Fargo Bank for anything all services are down including debit card transactions and transfers apparently a construction worker cut some fiber at a critical place and no one can access their money...

Don’t use well Fargo but about 2 months ago I used my debit card at a truck stop later found out that someone hacked into the truck stop and my debit card was compromised. I was on the road for over two weeks living off a credit card..

If you get this email.....DO NOT OPEN!!!! If you go to that link it will ask you for your email login info. I emailed JCT and they confirmed it is not legit and are now investigating.

California
Currently, California has a major speed differential for trucks. While speed limits in many areas are set for passenger vehicles at 65 or 70 m.p.h., commercial vehicle speed limits are set at 55 m.p.h. However, a new bill brought forward by Assemblyman Randy Voepel would increase the speed limit for trucks to 65 m.p.h. in rural areas.

Starting on Thursday, February 7, the recommended speed limit on a stretch of I-69 north of Indianapolis will be reduced from 70 m.p.h. to just 45 m.p.h. The speed limit decrease will be on the 14 miles of I-69 between mile markers 220 to 234 from now through Sunday.
Indiana transportation officials are warning that that the 14 mile stretch of interstate has become nearly impassible and they are asking drivers who are able to seek alternate routes.Kamkor Thanks this. -
