I got out of the house in Omaha yesterday and dropped straight south ASAP in order to miss that brute. Normally I would roll west to York and then head south but it was already dicy over there.
I'm headed to Walmart in north Platte but seeing as I'm leaving the shipper in Bakersfield NOW I should hope things will be bareable.
Until you hit Wyoming. 80 is a mess. East bound is barely open and westbound is still completely closed. Am in still here in Laramine. You might be better off taking the southern route.
Just got off the phone with my wife in Omaha, and if she says the roads through there are horrible and getting worse, so be safe.
Got to go pick up in Dayton, NJ and del in South Bend, IN. Wonder how much of that crap I'll run into today and tomorrow.
From what I have been told from the locals, Wyoming DOT is being extra cautious this year after last years disasters.
Can you really blame them? After watching the videos of those pile ups, I'm surprised that many people walked away. Then again, blindly driving full speed in a snow storm is just asking for it.
