Thank you Jasbss! Yes I would understand that! Raising 4 little ones that is a totally different game. Money is there to be made it is managing how it get shifted around that can get tricky. I usually make checks around $1700 and every other week the occasional $1900 or $2000. Have to pay taxes out of that and save some reserves, so I look at as making about $1200 to $1300 a week. I have another thing i'm doing this week as well to help manage my time off and weeks that may come up short. Going to start paying an extra $75.00 a week on my truck payment so when I want extended time off (cruse to Alaska or the Bahamas) I can ask for a bi-week and won't have to pay the truck for that week. For me that seems like a good management idea so need to get that done. Plus on a week like I just had... won't have to pay a late fee!

Buck in C/S has been with Schneider for years. He used to be a driver way back in the day. Saved my day a half a dozen times or so years ago when I drove for Schneider.
atruckr Thanks this. -
What's to worry? You have a $1000 truck payment $1000 fuel or more a week. And SNI fuel payments are whacked. What I mean u get fuel Mon thinking it'll b on Fri check but really its on the Fri after that one. You really have to work to pay for that new truck.

As a company lease driver you will never be successful owner operator its not in the cards. To be successful u need to buy your own truck stick with truck for a long time. They only way to b successful is no truck payments or more reasonable payments.

But I do appreciate your insight and opinion.

What are you talking about! The fuel cut off is Tues at about 4am all you have to do is plan for it. If you buy fuel between Tues thru Monday it always comes through on that following Friday.
This is what I do.. When I get close to the end of our pay period like Friday -Monday just calculate how many miles i'm going to drive through Tues morning and only buy the fuel I need to finish off that week. Then when Tues morning comes around fill my tanks and do it all over again. That way you get your full potential pay check every week.
This really isn't that hard! Just do your work, be safe, respect others and maintain integrity.truckermetz, Jasbss and txdirtroad Thank this. -
