Going down to Pomona on Monday to get mine. Since I moved up to Reno/Fernley they are wanting me in a Penske Lease truck so I can get it repaired and serviced easier. I do my best to stay out of Lost Angeles now.

Upinsmoke, Lonesome and atruckr Thank this.

I here ya on that. Typically they have me pickup out of Ontario/Fontana area and head North to UT or East to Texas. I don't mine going into that area and straight out like that, it's a lot less congested in those parts. But occasionally I get into Longbeach/Carson which kinda sucks but it's only once in awhile. Could be worse, you know how it is. At least im not sticking around running in there all the time :D

DVIR's here at ShipEX if you forget to log a DVIR it's a point against your safety bonus. I missed 2 last month ERRRRR ! My complaint is there's no way to correct it if you miss one. The other night when I parked for the night i got distracted and didn't even log off for the night. I went back into my logs (Rand McNally) the next morning and was able to correct the on duty status to off duty but could not add a DVIR with yesterday's date. It won't let you! That sucks, at Schneider we had Qualcomm and if i remember correctly you could update your DVIR's when needed. Now im pretty sure im not the only one that does this once in awhile. Problem here that's gonna cost ya .. not huge deal, not a deal breaker, i just think it sucks you can't have at least a couple of days to catch a mistake and correct it. Oh well i will try harder not to miss anymore.

Upinsmoke, Vic Firth and Lonesome Thank this.

Oh BTW, they didn't find me a load yesterday so I'm still kick-en it at home! I kinda suspected that being a Sunday and all. My Driver manager is probably going to be crazy busy this morning. I ll check in with him in a bit and see what's up. Kinda cool having the extra time at home, but getting a little antsy time to roll...!!

At least it doesn’t go against a performance bonus and only the safety and compliance bonus.

Understand you being antsy however a little extra time home is never a bad thing. At least you are still getting paid. Not like milage where the wheels aren’t turning you aren’t making anything l.

Upinsmoke, mattbh23 and atruckr Thank this.

DVIRs aren’t required anymore unless you find a problem during pre-trip that would prevent you from safely operating the equipment. DOT made that change a couple of years ago. I guess ShipEx didn’t get the memo.
