R+L is better than any OTR job. Stick around for a year then switch. Other companies offer drop/hook pay, fuel pay, delay pay, breakdown pay and etc.
I prefer to get paid for EVERYTHING I do because at the end of the day you will be on same exact interstates as the other LTL drivers.

So R&L doesn’t pay for anything other than the run miles?
-
Yes but they call it “trip pay” and don’t break it down to a cpm rate, to make it seem like a better deal.
-
So they pay per hour when we’re fueling and setting up the trailers and things like that?
-
Not as far as I’m aware.
-
naw, you gonna end up doing that for free.
-
They claim the stop pay and fueling is built into the trips rate. Shorter runs pay better then longer runs. I used to know the algebra equation to figure up the pay running different routes but I forgot it. -
Sounds like too much hassle.jtaran06 Thanks this.

Update on Estes application: still haven’t heard back from hiring manager, last Friday called to recruiting and he said he sent An email to Hm and give him a callbackthis Friday if we don’t heard anything by then, at this point we’re so frustrated and I personally feel like we’re begging for the big companies for a job, how is that us fellow driver’s appreciate teams but not the companies?

Estes takes a while to get hired on with. I think it was 4-6 weeks for me.
