I know Lunderby Trucking out of Watford City is still making good money hauling crude oil/ water. You can make around $80-100k a year. You have to pay $350 a month for rent. 4 weeks on 8 days off slip seat. You can even work your days off Average $300-350 a day. They ended up getting all the work from the small outfits so their pretty busy.
SANDBOX LOGISTICS- worst I have ever worked for!

Sounds like his wife. Trying to make it sound ok. That company has no morales.

That's not bad at all.

Especially If you live nearby with your family. Definitely not worth traveling two thirds of the way across the country and leaving my family behind just to try to support two different households. It's nothing like it used to be.Last edited: Jan 19, 2016

My boss was charging $135 an hour to the truck and I was getting 25% which works out to $33.75 an hour and I could work as many hours every week as I wanted to and I averaged about 100 hours a week back in 2012. Then in August of 2012 they made a switch out to barrel rate and everything went to hell and my boss went out of business and I want to work for another Company that underbid my boss and I was only allowed to work a 12 hour shift everyday so my income was drastically reduced but even then I still averaged about $2,200 a week working 6 days at 12 hour shifts per day . There was a company out there hauling crude oil that was based out of Bismarck and they had a job that paid the truck $10 a barrel for 260 barrels for 5 hours worth of work and the driver was getting 25% of that so just imagine what his paychecks were like some of those guys were making $6,000 a week as company drivers. Unfortunately those days are long gone. Up until a couple months ago a friend of mine was working about 30 hours a week less and making about $200 a week more but the rates are down to $120 an hour if you're lucky some guys are running their trucks as low as $85 an hour nowadays.

I just spoke to a Walmart driver out in Tobyhanna Pennsylvania and he worked 6 days and takes two days off on a rotating schedule and his gross income before taxes for 2015 was $96,000 for the year.
No incentive for pipeline work at that rate in the brutal cold for less money.BibleThumper and dog-c Thank this. -
The Oil prices keep dropping and the oil companies keep taking cuts to stay in business. It's not worth Jeopardizing your CDL for $300 a day. That was the reason I got into FRAC side. The fog, ice, and crazy drivers up there are definitely not worth it. Especially if you run illegal like I did.
